William C.Porter Farm Co., Inc. is located a mile northwest of "downtown" Marblemount in eastern Skagit County of Washington State. The 120-acre farm is situated along the edge of the valley floor backed up against the foothills that front the spectacular North Cascades mountain range.

We have a maritime Pacific Northwest climate. Seasonal cool weather rains and warm summers combine to ensure green hillsides and an ideal climate for timber and berry production, and the existence of copious untainted water resources bodes well for fresh-water fish production capabilities. Surface water is provided by two creeks which drain out of the National Forest land that borders the farm on the west and north.

About the Farm Operation

The farm is now in a planning and growth-staging mode. We are presently working to develop our infrastructure and resource base. Utilizing the combined energies of skilled employees, sub-contractors and professional specialists, we are progressing toward the goal of creating a productive rural business operation.

What We can do for You

In developing the infrastructure of the farm, we have accumulated a large array of heavy construction machinery and equipment, and the skills to maintain and effectively use them.

Because most of these resources can be mobilized or easily transported, we can now offer our expertise, services and certain materials to our neighbors in eastern Skagit County, in the communities of Marblemount, Rockport and surrounding environs.

Please check out our Products & Services page for an overview of what we can offer you. That page has an Information Request form on it that you can use to get further details, or just send us an email here.

Join Us - An Opportunity

WORK/STUDY OPPORTUNITY for motivated high self-concept person

I want to succeed as I progress towards realizing the goals of developing the farm.  If YOU want to succeed in life, big time, know you need further training, but are deterred by the high cost of formal trade school and college education, join with me in the Porter Farm Work/Study program.

WANTED several real men and women who are high school graduates or who have some college experience, age 18 to 40. Must be self-motivated and have burning desire for additional education and learning, but perhaps lack the financial resources for a traditional college degree (up to $30,000+/year).

You must have some common sense and no fear of work, be a self-starter, have the ability to think big, be creative in solving problems, and know when to smell the roses that life occasionally leads us past.

I wish I had known about the kind of opportunity I am offering here fifty or sixty years ago.  I believe we never are too old to learn, and this is a chance to gain skills in many areas and knowledge in traditional and non-traditional educational fields.  Click here for more info. ...Bill Porter
